WHO WE HELP

“When I first met John, I noticed his eyes were glazed over, and his speech was barely audible. He was a homeless veteran hero living on the San Antonio streets. My husband and I offered him odd jobs at our house in hopes that he would get off the alcohol and off the streets. John came at least three days a week for work. He ate dinner with us and assisted in cleaning up the kitchen.”

“One day, John asked me to go with him. He had something he wanted to show me. It turned out that he had gotten a real job and was living in a halfway house which assisted in his alcohol recovery and he even began to attend church. John was once again a responsible citizen.” Explains J. Renee Sheridan, President, and Founder of Philanthropic Endeavors, Inc.

Philanthropic Endeavors, Inc. is an organization with a heart for people. Our desire is to go out into the city in which we live and, with our help, see more homeless veteran heroes make a positive transformation like John.

City council member Roberto Trevino states, "No one being homeless got there overnight. They are there because of trauma, abuse, unaddressed mental health problems..."

WORLD POPULATION REVIEW REPORTS AS OF 2021, THERE ARE OVER HALF A MILLION PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMLESSNESS IN THE U.S. ALMOST 60,000 VETERAN HEROES ARE WITHOUT SHELTER ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT. VETERANS ACCOUNT FOR 11% OF HOMELESS ADULTS IN THE UNITED STATES.

Most of our homeless veteran heroes have risked their lives in combat, to protect the citizens of the U.S. We believe we owe our lives to them and should always lend a helping hand.
